Taking A Closer Look at Property Rights: Alberta Land Institute funds research project to examine governance & regulation

Property rights are a controversial issue in Alberta.

A number of land-use statutes and policies have been developed in recent years that have encouraged public debate.

As the dust settles there  is opportunity to clarify and examine the remaining challenges facing Albertans today in understanding property rights.

Alberta Land Institute is supporting a research project that explores key issues and current challenges around property rights and land-use regulations in the province.This project will seek to identify the implications of alternative property rights frameworks for land management and individual property uses.
